Quality Process

S3C's in-house quality system is accredited to ISO 9001. Each separate coating process is carried out to an approved specification such as ASTM, ANSI, SAMSS, and SASO. If no specifications are available, S3C will coat the material using its own specifications based on recommendations of the powder or resin manufacturer.

S3C has a Quality Control and Testing Laboratory where raw, uncoated and coated material is tested. S3C ensures that the finished product is within specification by undertaking temperature trace analysis, adhesion, salt spray, impact and cure testing, utilising salt spray cabinets, rockwell drop testers, mandrel bend tester, ion meter, differential scanning calorimeter, thickness gauges and other analytical tools.

We also have an on-line quality initiative where each operator is responsible for ensuring that all components are acceptable. In addition to this, spot-checks and statistical surveillance is carried out by the quality assurance department.

Customer Base: Major Petrochemical Companies, civil / electrical / mechanical engineering companies, contractors, major utilities, (such as power & desalination plant) processing industries, electrical distributors, architects and consultants. The majority of the company's business for architectural coatings, fence posts and fittings, cable tray/ladders coatings, pipes and fittings, etc. comes from either the major contractors, OEMs or fabricators of these product lines.
